Best for anything urgent. If water is actively coming in, say so straight away - it changes the order of the day.
Photographs are genuinely useful, particularly one of the ceiling stain and one of the roof from an upstairs window if you can safely get it.
Commercial work is regularly done outside these hours - evenings, Sundays and shutdown weeks - because most businesses would rather we were there when they are closed.
